Abuse of Religion Dear Brother Ron If god is just a "feeling" then why would I not be able to lie and convince others that I "knew" what god wanted and start my own cult. How can we tell the difference between people that really "feel" god and those that are just saying it for there own purposes? What if the person who is lying says that you do not have faith in the Lord and that you are going to go to hell? Also, what if you pray about it but you are still not able to tell if that person really does "know and have a close relationship with God"? How would I be able to tell the difference? Theory Rules Dear Theory Rules John 10:38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him. Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. James 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Don't believe what they say or feel. Believe what they do. If their actions reflect the love of God and result in improvement in the lives of others, they may indeed be feeling the Holy Spirit. If not, they are just feeling self-righteous. Best always Brother Ron |
