Bible Verses about Trust Dear Brother Ron What is a good bible verse that talks about trust? My boyfriend and I had some trusting issues and we are reading the bible and I wanted to get a verse that talks about that. Do you have any suggestions? Photolady Dear Photolady Most of the verses in the Bible deal with trusting God. 2 Samuel 22:3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my Savior; thou savest me from violence. If you are talking about trust between two people, you might find this helpful. Luke 16:11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? When this verse talks about "unrighteous mammon", it is referring to the Roman god of money. In other words, if you are not trustworthy with your money (which gives only temporary satisfaction), how can you be trusted with the eternal matters of the spirit. The same could be said of other temporary satisfactions such as sex, drugs, etc. If you and your boyfriend truly love each other, you will value your relation- ship more than momentary diversions. Trust is the basis of any lasting rela- tionship. I trust my wife to act in my best interest and she has the same trust in me. If the two of you do not have that same kind of trust, then I fear for your relationship. Best always Brother Ron |
