Disrespect for Judaism

Dear Brother Ron

The other day, some person walked up to me seeing that I was wearing my yarmulke, and started trying to convert me. First he was talking about how Jesus was the Messiah, even though he didn't fulfill all the prophecies. Then he said he was filled with love and loves everybody, but then tells me that if I don't accept him I won't enter the gates of heaven. Then after his long "Get people to convert" speech was over, he said he would like to talk more about this over a Ham sandwich and some desert. I felt like slapping that grin off him. Does that make me a bad person? He stuffs his beliefs down my throat, then insults my religion.

Mr. Jew

Dear Mr. Jew

You are not a bad person. You just happen to have encountered a person who probably remembers third grade as three of the happiest years of his life. I'm sure he will be very successful some day running his own fireworks stand.

Please be assured that heaven is not a country club and the Southern Baptist Convention is not the membership committee. When this life is over, our Father will be happy to welcome you home. I'm afraid your redneck friend might need a little special education before being allowed into the kingdom.

Best always
Brother Ron
