God Showed Me Buddhism

Dear Brother Ron

I prayed to God to get saved but God showed me Buddhism. Is that normal? I'm not being sarcastic but I sincerely prayed to get saved by Jesus. However I discovered Buddhism a few days later and an inner voice told me to follow that path. I have been studying Buddhism for about two years and the teachings are the most compatible to my personality and the way that I think. Does God show people different paths according to individual psychologies and personality traits? I sincerely believe that there is not a "one size fits all" religion.

Dear Eptman

Do you remember when Vice President Cheney shot one of his hunting buddies in the face? He was criticized for only revealing this to a local newspaper instead of holding a press conference for all the media. In other words, people felt this was something important that people deserved to know. Many felt that Mr. Cheney should have used every effort to assure that everybody was informed of this important news.

Now imagine that you are God. You have something really important to tell your children. Would you depend on an itinerant carpenter's son from a small town on the outskirts of a minor Roman province to get the word out to all the world or would you use every resource at your disposal to make sure everybody got the message? And would you give the same message to everybody or would you give each person the message that was the right message for that person?

I believe that our Father has used, and continues to use, many people and many resources to get the right message to the right people at the right time. Our Father has apparently used Buddhism to provide you with the message which best meets your needs. In your studies of Buddhism, you might have run across an old Buddhist saying: "There are many roads which lead to the top of the mountain. But once you get there, the view is the same for everybody".

I hope that some day you make it to the top of the mountain. The view is spectacular, no matter which road you take to get there.

Best always
Brother Ron
