Going Through Channels Dear Brother Ron I am really confused. I have been told one cannot find God without the Jehovah's Witness Organization, but I heard a Jehovah's Witness say that one can find God through individual prayer, and that no one can take that away from a person. So I have a question  about disfellowshipping and what happens when a repentant person is not allowed to return to the Organization because they have determined that person will never be repentent enough. I wonder if the disfellowshipped loses their relationship with God, since the only way a Jehovah's Witness can find God is through the Organization, especially if they were to die without having ever been reinstated, no matter how much they wanted to be. So, we don't need the Organization because we can find God through individual prayer? Patty C Dear Patty C God is alive within you, not within the organization. The organization was created by humans and is controlled by humans. God is totally separate from the organization and is not dependent on them. Furthermore, contrary to their propaganda, God did not appoint any religious organization to be His exclusive agents on this planet. You can find God alive and well in the innermost part of your being. You will not find Him in a book, a building or a Board of Directors. God does not need a legal entity to speak for Him. What human is smart enough to search within a human soul and evaluate repentence? Anybody egotistical enough to assume such responsibility is obviously speaking for himself, not God.
