Light of the World

Dear Brother Ron

What do you know about the Light of the World Church? I understand that it is an attempt to restore the primitive Christian church as established by Jesus and His Disciples.

Chris

Dear Chris

The Light of the World Church was started in Mexico by Aaron Joaquín Gonzalez in 1926. After his death in 1964, administration of the organization passed to Samuel Joaquín Flores. The church still has strong Hispanic roots, although Light of the World churches can now be found throughout the United States and in Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.

The appeal of the organization is to return to the original message preached by Jesus before it was edited and revised by the Catholic Church and other religious organizations. To the extent that the Light of the World Church remains true to this principle, I agree with their philosophy. I only hope they can remain true to it and not succumb to the temptation to alter it for political purposes as so many others have done.

Best always

Brother Ron
