Why Does God Hate Me?

Dear Brother Ron

I used to believe in God. I always did everything according to my religion, but it seemed that people who were doing all the wrong things were better off than me and I was here suffering even though others did not deserve any better. I am not even sure if I believe in him anymore.

Warguy

Dear Warguy

Your problem is you were following a man-made religion instead of listening to the word of God within you. Religions are organizations created by humans. Since humans are imperfect, religious organizations are imperfect. Jesus wanted us to have a relationship with God. Churches tell us the only way to get to God is through them. Good for churches, bad for people.

Also, people keep confusing God with Santa Claus. If you are a good little boy or girl, God is not necessarily going to come down your chimney with a sack of goodies. Achieving spiritual success does not guarantee material success. Time and again, we see those who cheat, lie and steal achieve earthly goals. Jesus told us this as well.

Stop trying to live up to the standards of your religion and start asking God what He wants from you. If you are working toward His objectives, He will give you the strength and wisdom to accomplish them. He will also open doors for you to make sure you do not starve in the process. I have seen it work for me time and again.

Best always
Brother Ron
